Most likely, the love of money (read-states taxes and shareholder profits ) are  primary reasons why Phillip Morris and others simply can’t develop their own quality brands and flavors using E-cig technology!

Well we knew it was bound to happen eventually and it seems as if the news many have been dreading is on the horizon. Nothing is even nearly settled at the moment but it seems that there have been talks going on between Phillip Morris and the Ruyan E Cigarette Company.

After a couple of years of the major players in the tobacco and pharmaceutical industry doing all they can to beat the electronic cigarette to death they know want a piece of the pie.

Arthur Schopenhauer once said that “All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.” We’re coming to the stage where the e cigarette is going to be accepted and promoted by the tobacco industry as the obvious way for all smokers to get their nicotine fix. All the arguments about e cigarette safety will be quickly forgotten in the rush to make as much money as possible.

A couple of years ago when the electric cigarette was introduced to the market it was pretty much ignored by the tobacco companies. They sat back and let small niche companies build up a market for the product and when the device started to become popular they, along with the FDA and the nicotine replacement therapy manufacturers, went to lengths to make sure everyone knew how the product had never been tested and could be dangerous.

Of course those of us who have used the E Cigarette have always known that it was a product ahead of its time which was going to gain main stream approval. If big tobacco does get involved in this then it has its good and bad points.

The good:

The cash they will be willing to spend on research and development will mean big advances in the technology which will mean a better vaping experience for us all.

Their huge financial clout will ensure that required lobbying and research will take place which get the FDA and all other “health authorities” off our backs.

The bad:

Big tobacco will waltz in with their huge cash resources and take most or all of the business off the E Cig companies who have done all the hard work building this product from nothing.

The companies who have been lying to and literally killing us for the last 150 years with their deadly products will continue to take our hard earned cash.

I don’t know about you but I much rather give my money to a small e cigarette company that a multinational corporation who are quite happy to kill for money.

At this point no agreement has been reached between the Ruyan Group and Philip Morris but its only a matter of time before the tobacco companies claim their slice of this potentially very lucrative pie.

I’ll keep you posted on how this story develops as I get more information.

Said so well that we had to post this, it couldn’t be relayed better that “this is a potentially very lucrative pie” and the BIG Tobacco will eventually get their mitts in it, with the FDA right-along side. We can only suggest that you stock up on your favorite juice and learn how to sustain your personal use during the inevitable battle that will soon ensue in the US Courts systems!

The fact is that we only prefer to purchase and use USA, pharmaceutical grade nicotine and glycols. There’s just too much risk knowing how reliable the consistency and quality is form some of these imported juices (china). Even though many will testify that they have never heard of such adverse reaction they cannot lay claim to the quality in this industry that is still in it’s infancy.

We sure would like to see this regulated, but hopefully not taxed to death like the tobacco industry. The Govt will no doubt make this happen, we just hope it is with their constituency’s consult and agreement. Yea, wishful thinking, but non-the-less needed!

Propylene Glycol (PG) or Vegetable Glycerin (VG) are commonly used organic compound that are recognized as generally safe by the Food and Drug Administration. They are used in food coloring, and flavouring, as an additive to keep food, medicines and cosmetics moist, and in machines that simulate smoke as well as an ingredient in toothpaste and mouthwash. In our store, Propylene Glycol (PG) or Vegetable Glycerin (VG) function to provide the vapor mist that looks like smoke and to suspend flavor.

Somebody may be allergic with Propylene Glycol (PG). In this case, it is better to use Vegetable Glycerin (VG).

For making your own e-liquid / e-juice, what you need are the followings:

1. Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerin: You need to have the Food Grade Propylene Glycol (PG) or Vegetable Glycerin (VG) as we provide here. The Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin are the ingredients that creates the visible smoke / fog. In fact, this is the ingredient in smoke machine fluid that creates the smoke / fog.
2. Distilled Water: We recommend the filtered drinkable water. The other water, such as tap water contains too many chemicals to make it healthy to vaporize into your lungs.
3. Flavourings: You need to have high temperature resistance and water soluble flavorings. Other flavorings which have only room temperature resistance and contains either oil or sugars may not be suitable for smoking in a personal vaporizer.
4. Optional additives: such as herbs, tobacco or whatever additives for tobacco and herbal recipes.

The E-liquid composition may be variable with these base ingredient PG or VG and with the E-liquid flavorings. Normally you can put in the following compositions for zero nicotine E-liquid as an example:

• 15% Water
• 15% Flavoring
• 70% VG or PG

You can also add some nicotine inside, as the following composition normally for instance:

• 10% Water
• 10% Flavoring
• 20% 24mg Commercial Nicotine Liquid
• 60% VG or PG

For thicker smoke, please use less water. While you are using an e-cigarette in higher temperarue environment or hot season, please use less water. If making a solution with additives, then leave out the water and use either a few drops of additive solution or more depending on strength and taste. You will have to experiment!

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

If you are making a nicotine based liquid, there are some things you need to keep in mind. Nicotine is a poison. Too much can be very toxic. Nicotine is an alkaloid found in certain plants, predominantly tobacco, and in much lower quantities in tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant and green peppers. When absorbed in small amounts, whether from cigarettes, cigars or e-cigarette, nicotine can cause stimulation, a feeling of relaxation, calmness, and alertness. The effects of nicotine can last from minutes to hours. The carcinogenic properties of nicotine in a standalone form (i.e., separated from smoking or chewing tobacco) have not been evaluated by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, however current available literature indicates that nicotine in standalone form does not promote the development of cancer in healthy tissue and has no mutagenic properties.
